Vampire

December 08, 2006: By Edvard Munch. This motif was first called "Love and Pain" and later renamed to "Vampire." It supposedly was an attempt to portray complex feelings. You could say it shows Munch's obsession with the dual nature of woman and her ability to both give life and take it away. In my case, my first impression was simply that of a woman sucking the life out of a man.
