Death of Marat I

By Edvard Munch, a depiction of the assassination of the French revolutionary Jean-Paul Marat by Charlotte Corday. (The more famous depiction is probably La Mort de Marat by Jacques-Louis David.) Although the subject matter are two political figures, I think this speaks more to the relationship between a man and a woman than the politics of the French revolution.
